Trauma Therapy
Trauma Therapy in Knoxville, TN
Trauma isn’t just what happened. It’s what still happens in your body when something reminds you of it — the flinch, the shutdown, the fight that came out of nowhere but didn’t, really.

Who this is for
You feel keyed up or checked out more than you'd like to admit
Certain people, places, or tones of voice put you somewhere else entirely
You've noticed the same relationship pattern repeating and can't fully explain why
You've done talk therapy before and it helped, but something's still stuck
How I work
I bring in parts work — the idea that the parts of you that are angry, shut down, or hypervigilant are protectors, not problems — alongside somatic work, because the body holds what the mind processes around, and psychodynamic thinking, to trace where the pattern actually started. None of this is quick. Most of it is worth it.
If the trauma is tied to a relationship, the Domestic Violence & Relational Trauma page may speak to it more directly.
